Enter the Void is a French film written and directed by Gaspar Noé, set in Tokyo and focuses on a young American drug dealer who gets killed and watches over his sister Linda as a ghost.

About the Movie

Enter the Void is a French film written and directed by Gaspar Noé, labeled by Noé as a “psychedelic melodrama”. The story is set in Tokyo and focuses on Oscar, a young American drug dealer who gets killed and watches over his sister Linda as a ghost. Nathaniel Brown stars in his debut role with Paz de la Huerta as the sister. The camera follows Oscar from behind his head during scenes in which he is alive. After his death, the view hovers over Tokyo through walls and across buildings.

The film makes heavy use of visuals inspired by experimental cinema and psychedelic drug experiences, and explores fantasies about the human afterlife. Having been the director’s dream project for many years, the film was made possible due to the commercial success of Irréversible, the previous feature film by Noé. Enter the Void premiered at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and was after several recuts released in France almost one year later. A cut down version will be released in the United States and United Kingdom in September 2010.

About the Movie

My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done? is a film directed by Werner Herzog and produced by David Lynch, inspired by the story of murderer Mark Yavorsky. Herzog describes the film as “a horror film without the blood, chainsaws and gore, but with a strange, anonymous fear creeping up in you”.

The film was originally planned for production in the Summer of 2008, but was postponed in favor of Herzog’s Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. Information about the film was first released at a press conference at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. Filming began around San Diego, California in March 2009. It was nominated for the Golden Lion at the 66th Venice International Film Festival. It was the first time in Venice film festival history that there are two Golden Lion nominated films both directed by the same director in one year.

Resident Evil: Afterlife is a 3D science fiction action horror film written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, and starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Wentworth Miller, Kim Coates and Spencer Locke.

About the Movie

Resident Evil: Afterlife is an upcoming 3D science fiction action horror film written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, and starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Wentworth Miller, Kim Coates, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe and Shawn Roberts. It is the fourth installment in a series of film adaptations based loosely on Capcom’s survival horror video game series Resident Evil. It is also the first film in the series to be released in 3D. In the film Alice searches for and rescues remaining survivors in Los Angeles of the T-virus outbreak, who team up against Albert Wesker, the head of the Umbrella Corporation.

In May 2005, producers mentioned the possibility of following Resident Evil: Extinction with a sequel titled Afterlife. Extinction was released in 2007 and was a box office success prompting Afterlife to begin development in June 2008, with the script being written by Anderson that December. Elements from Resident Evil 5 were incorporated into the film.

Chris Redfield, a primary character from the video games will be featured for the first time in the film franchise. Other characters from the games and films who return include: Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine and Albert Wesker. Filming took place in Toronto from September to December 2009 using James Cameron’s 3D Fusion Camera System. The film is scheduled to be released in 3D and IMAX 3-D theaters on September 10, 2010.
