About the Movie

The Counselor is a drama / thriller film directed by Ridley Scott, from an original screenplay by Cormac McCarthy. The film is rated R for grisly images, graphic violence, strong sexual content, and language and will be dedicated to the memory of the director’s brother Tony Scott, who committed suicide during production. The script written by Pulitzer Prize winner McCarthy will also be released as a book. The Counselor will be the closing night film at the 2013 Morelia Film Festival and will also play the Cork Film Festival.
