Land of the Lost is an upcoming American feature film based on the 1974 TV series Land of the Lost. The film is directed by Brad Silberling and stars Will Ferrell. Production of the film began in March 2008. It was originally scheduled to be released on July 17, 2009 but the release date was pushed forward to June 5, 2009. The film follows “a disgraced paleontologist, his assistant, and a macho tour guide who find themselves in a strange, alternate world inhabited by dinosaurs, monkey people and reptilian Sleestaks.”
